The Kuksa Carving Day Course offers a focused and rewarding introduction to traditional green wood carving, centred around the creation of a hand-carved wooden cup inspired by the classic Nordic kuksa. Working in a relaxed woodland setting around the campfire, participants are guided through every stage of the process—from selecting the timber to shaping, hollowing, and refining their finished vessel.

This is a hands-on, immersive day that balances careful instruction with plenty of time to work at your own pace. The emphasis is on developing confidence with tools, understanding the behaviour of green wood, and enjoying the deeply satisfying rhythm of carving by hand.
